Changes to the Lottery’s computer system have affected
Web subscriptions more deeply than we anticipated. This
is much more than the delay of a new Web site. In
converting
to a new system, we’ve had to convert the entire Web subscription system, not just the Web site. Our integrity and the security of YOUR numbers depend on getting it right – so we will be thorough in our continued testing.
At this time, we do not have a date when Web subscriptions will be available again. If you previously subscribed via the Web, the Virginia Lottery will notify you as soon as this
service is once again available.
Meanwhile, you can play Mega Millions and Win for Life
for up to 26 draws (that’s 13 weeks) at any Virginia
Lottery retailer. Ask the retailer for a "multi-draw" ticket.
Why are Lottery Subscriptions not available?
As part of a complete Lottery-wide computer system change, the Web subscription system is also in the process of being improved. These improvements have taken longer to implement than originally anticipated.
What will happen to my current Subscription?
All active subscriptions have remained in effect until they expire. All winners have been paid according to current subscription terms.
My subscription is about to expire, how can I renew it?
Web subscription renewals are not available now. To continue playing your favorite numbers, you can buy up to 13 weeks’ worth of Mega Millions or Win for Life at any Virginia Lottery retailer.
How will I know when Subscriptions are available?
All Subscription players who provided their email address to the Lottery will receive a message when the Subscription system is operational. You may also check the Virginia Lottery web site periodically for this information.
If I have sent my Subscription renewal by mail, will it be activated?
You will receive subscription information via the U.S. Mail about any renewal application mailed in.
